Graduation Day!

(Is there anyone still reading my blog after my Mother's Day post? I'm sure I scared some away with my I'm-gonna-pour-my-soul-out-over-the-internet! Thanks to those who are sticking with me! Now, onto what's going on!)

Yesterday, I graduated my class of little ones and today, my own little one graduated! Not really, but he does have to move OUT of the INFANT room and into the TODDLER room for Sunday School next week and school next year. I'm not happy about this at all. I do realize that he IS a toddler, but do they have to shove it in my face? Kidding, of course. Kinda.

But really, this has been an amazing year having Hudson down the hall and Dusty in the next building. (Although he might say otherwise when I'm constantly buzzing him to move heavy things and bring me lunch!) And Hudson has absolutely LOVED school! We could not have asked for anything better!

We tried to get Hudson to wear a graduation cap, but he wasn't having that nonsense! But he did give Ms. Kerry some lovin' and put on show for the other teachers at the end of the day!

Hudson will be 18 months when he returns to school in the fall, so whether I made you cry with my last post or not, you know you want to stick around for that!!!

It's okay to be jealous...

of Hudson's killer physique. :)

He had a little water time at school today, which he thoroughly enjoyed! I can't really show any other pics because I'm sure there is some kind of confidentiality rule about showing other kids in their diapers on your blog. At least kids whose parents I did not ask first! But this is enough, right?!

Mother's Day!

For several years on Mother's Day I sat quietly in my seat at church with tears in my eyes as our preacher asked all the mothers to stand. Dusty and Lyndsey would reach over and touch my hand to comfort me as I longed to be one of those women. And even though the desires of my heart have been filled by God, Mother's Day is still a bittersweet day for me. I am so proud to be Hudson's mom and he is an unexplainable joy in our lives, but he is not my only. I have conceived four babies in my life. And even though Hudson is the only baby I hold today, I am a proud to call them all mine. I wish they were all right here, right now, but God had a different plan for us. So this Mother's Day I held this one a little longer, kissed him a few (lot) more times and told him over and over how blessed I was to be his mommy. And told him one day we would have a sweet, sweet reunion in Heaven.

Thanks to Dusty and Hudson for making me feel so special this Mother's Day!

Mother's Day at the park

After my Mother's Day Sunday afternoon nap (my favorite) we headed to a park for some play time. Hudson's class is now playing on the playground at school, so he thinks he's big time. But as you can see, he's got his serious face on here because apparently playscapes are serious business people! He is such a thinker, it cracks us up.

Anyway, family time at the park was a lovely way to end a lovely Mother's Day!

The first of many...

trips to the pool!! Yay for hot weather!! So, do you think Hudson liked it?

Our first trip to the pool can be summed up in two words...NO FEAR! The boy has absolutely no fear of the water. We are glad for this, because we both love the pool, but sweet mercy it's going to be a challenge to say the least to keep up with this one! But I will gladly chase him all over if it means seeing that priceless smile!

BTW, Lyndsey and I will be at her neighborhood pool everyday at 11:00 this summer if you want to come by. Naps directly following.

More Olivia

These pictures are only a week and a half overdue, but you forgive me, right?! I stayed with my sister the first night they came home with the baby. We had to have a little dress-up session and show off her big bow head! Girls got some crazy cute bows! And then we got a pic with Hudson, who really wasn't interested in Olivia, but his furry cousin instead! He was really hoping that Gizmo was going to hop in the car and come home with us, but no!

Can't wait to see my little princess again!
