Father's Day!

This is a little late, but I'm still recovering from our week in Taos! We were able to celebrate Father's Day on Saturday with my parents. They were in town to get rid of, I mean, return our son to us after he stayed with them for week. :) We asked my dad where he wanted to go for his Father's Day meal and he quickly replied "Kerbey Lane"! Remember...best queso ever?! You don't have to twist our arm! And we got a few pics before they headed back home. My son never smiles for the camera...sheesh! But he loves his Paw-Paw! We love and appreciate you Dad!

Dusty already knew about one of his presents, Ranger tickets for next weekend! But, there was one more surprise...a tour of the new Cowboy stadium!! You would have thought I had bought season tickets! He is VERY excited!

My gifts are a very small token of appreciation for my husband. He is the most loving, involved, hands-on dad! I fall more in love with him each day as I watch him with Hudson! Happy Father's Day Dusty!

Where Have We Been??

In Taos, New Mexico at youth camp!! We had a blast with our teenagers! The weather was amazing and God did big things in the lives of our students. I didn't get very many pictures, but these are a few of hiking and our hot air balloon ride! Dusty also got to go white water rafting, in which he lost wedding ring #2, but I stayed behind to man the pool for three hours! Now I know what you might be thinking, was this youth camp or vacation? Many of you are remembering your camp days at Hardin Simmons in Anderson Hall, Leuders or Lake Lavon, but we know how to do it around here! Next year, South Padre!

You can check out Angie's blog to get an idea of how Hudson spent his days while we were gone!

Scroll way down...three new posts!!

Kissin' Cousins

We made a quick trip to Gainesville on Friday to spend some time with family after the passing of Grandma Jeri (Dusty's step-moms mom). We had a lovely dinner outside Friday evening and Hudson got in some good cousin time. A little too good if you ask us! He was REALLY interested in Addison and they were kissing and hugging all night. Pretty funny, but we'll have to keep an eye on those two from now on!!

***I will give a special prize to any bloggy friends that will actually admit they might have kissed their cousin! I know who you are!!!

Look who came to visit!!

Yay! Miss Olivia, Aunt Angie and Mimi came for a visit last week! They looked after Hudson while I finished up with school and we had some play time too! My sister has already blogged about our fiasco of a trip to Kerbey Lane Cafe (best queso ever!) on her blog, but here's the run down again: It takes too long to seat us, we order and devour Kerbey Queso (best queso ever), it takes too long for the food to come, Dusty and I take turns letting Hudson walk around outside because its still taking too long, the food finally comes, Hudson and Olivia start melting down at the same time, Angie realizes she left the bottle at home, we forget eating our meal, ask for the check and to-go boxes, the waiter is quick for the first time all night and we leave in a tizzy (as my mom would say). At least we got to enjoy the best queso ever! :)

We opted to only the leave the house again for a quick trip to Target while Mimi stayed with Olivia.

But we sure loved having them here and hope they come back soon!

Cox Family Reunion

We headed with the family to East Texas over Memorial Day weekend for a long overdue Cox Family reunion. My aunt and uncle live on the lake and we had some good food, laughed at old photos, fished and chased Hudson from here to there! But as you can see, he didn't tarry far from his Paw-Paw! I really wish I had taken a picture of my dad with his sisters, but I was a little busy making sure Hudson didn't break the really expensive binoculars he found interesting or jumping into the lake! Fun times!
