Water Baby!!

Okay, so first of all, please don't call CPS on us for taking our 10 week old baby to the pool in the 90 degree weather...it was Memorial Day and he has a cute new swimsuit!! We lathered him all up, took some pics and then Dusty introduced him to the water. He really didn't know what to think about it. He didn't smile, but he didn't cry either. He would just pull his legs up when Dusty dipped him in! The pool in May isn't exactly bath water!! But as you can see from the last picture, he was worn out! We love summer, the sun, the pool...we hope Hudson does too one day! For now we'll just keep dipping!

My first Mother's Day!

This was obviously a very special Mother's Day for me! We dedicated Hudson in church (which I am sad to say I have no pictures of on my camera) and then spent the day resting with family. My sweet husband tried to surprise me (sorry babe) with the sweetest pictures of Hudson for the nursery. (Stay tuned for those!) They are adorable and I will always treasure them. And he bought me a pretty new dress, even though he didn't know it!

I feel so blessed to be celebrating this day. I am so proud to be a mother and so glad I get to share this incredible experience with Dusty. Thanks for making it so special for me honey! And a special shout out to all my mom friends!!

Oasis for Mother's Day

Mimi and Paw-Paw were here for the weekend so we treated Mimi to the Oasis on Saturday night. It was quite eventful and we were only there for an hour! Hudson had a MAJOR dirty diaper and had to be completely changed in the bathroom and then it started raining right in the middle of our outside meal! But like a true blogger, I still managed to get pictures!!

We've got a scooter!

So we started noticing that Hudson moves A LOT when he sleeps. He had been sleeping in a pack-n-play in our room until this past week. Not because mommy and daddy were ready to move him out, but because he was scooting so much in the bed that he would run out of room and wake himself up before he was really ready. But as you can see, he does the same thing in his big boy bed. We seriously started him at the other end of his bed and this is where we found him when he woke up! What can I say? Hudson is a genious and is sure to be crawling in a matter of weeks!! :)

T.G.F.M. (Thank goodness for Mimi!)

I went back to work yesterday, yuck! But thank goodness Mimi is here to love on Hudson while mommy is trying to wrangle some rowdy kindergarteners. I'm pretty sure they will not learn a single thing for the rest of the year. :)

As you can see, Hudson is loving his Mimi time, laughing and then pooping out from all their fun! It's much easier to leave in the morning knowing my baby is being taken care of by his Mimi!! Thanks Mom!
