On second thought...

Rice cereal--yucky, yucky! Our second attempt at cereal did not fare as well as the first! Hudson was NOT having it this time! He would barely take it off the spoon, make a terrible face, then spit it back at me!! I was trying really hard to get a picture of his "this stuff is disgusting" face, but I couldn't do it. I know, that is terrible, but the face was so cute! Anyway, as you can see, he thought the wash rag tasted better! We'll keep trying!

Rice Cereal...Yummy, Yummy!

Here is our first attempt at rice cereal. I was fully expecting Hudson to spit it all back out at me because, let's face it, it tastes disgusting! But he did just the opposite! He was leaning in and pretty much attacked the spoon everytime! And the only thing that came back out was slobber! So even though the last picture looks like he's about to fall asleep in his baby pod, he liked him some rice cereal!!

4 Months

I'm a little behind, but here are some pictures and stats from Hudson's fourth month of life! God has really blessed us with such a sweet, easy-going baby. He is changing everyday...laughing, playing, rolling over, and most recently--discovering his voice! He squeals, screams, laughs, coughs and makes funny noises when he plays--it's adorable! He is also a really great sleeper, which mommy and daddy love very much! But most importantly, Hudson brings smiles and happiness to our family and friends. We love that his happy personality is already ministering to people. What a blessing! Okay, on to the stats. Be prepared to be wowed people!

1. Weight-12 lbs. 9 oz. (Still a little peanut)
2. Height-23 1/2 in. (He's grown 5 inches since birth!)
3. Right on track developmentally!
4. Ready to start cereal!

Welcome to the world Jack Ryan!

Our friends Steven and Lyndsey welcomed sweet Baby Jack into the world on Tuesday evening. He is absolutely precious! I was priviledged to be part of his birth and it was amazing! Thank you Lyndsey for letting me part of a such a sweet moment!

Jack Ryan Testone joined us at 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday July 15th, weighing 8 lbs. 3 oz. Lyndsey was a rockstar and looked fabulous RIGHT AFTER giving birth!! And of course, Miss Kate was as cute as ever in her Big Sister shirt! She is going to be a great sister!

We are so glad Jack is finally here! Hudson has been waiting for his friend to arrive. I'm sure I will have lots of blogs to come about their adventures!

Little Rolie Polie!

That's right...Hudson's rolling over! Yesterday I went in to his room to get him up from his nap and found him on his side in the corner. He was moving around a little bit, so I went and grabbed the camera (like a true blogger) to try to catch him in action. Sure enough, I was able to get some pictures and video of his first rollover. (Well, not technically the first. It happened once about a month ago, but we think that was just a fluke!) So the first four pictures are in order. Don't you like his face in the fourth picture?? It's like he's saying, "Mom, what? I do this all the time!" And the last picture was this morning. Yep, he did it again!

How is this happening??!! Everyone kept telling us they grow up quickly! I secretly want him to slow down, it makes me so sad. But then I look at his cute bedhead and all I can do is smile!!

Playtime!

Hudson was really enjoying his play gym this morning and I actually managed to get some pictures of him smiling and laughing! And then a picture of him taking a break to suck his thumb! (On that note...I'm giving in and letting go! Something I'm realizing moms have to do every now and then!)

And I got in trouble by Mimi for not taking any pictures at our Fourth of July party, so I hope these make up for it! Sometimes it's a little embarassing being the ONLY mother with their camera out! :)
