Finally...SNOW!

Yay! We finally got snow today! We had been pretty jealous of all our North Texas friends and family who received snow a couple of weeks ago, so we were very excited to wake up to flurries today! And they just kept coming all day!

Dusty and Hudson got out this afternoon to play and build a Santa snowman! He of course, would not pose next to the finished product! Ellie spent her snow day indoors, looking at the snow through the window!!

And as I write this, the snow is pretty much gone! Fun while it lasted!

1 Month

Of course I'm a couple of days late, but little Miss Ellie turned one month old on the 20th! Can you believe it? Where does the time go?

Ellie is such a sweetie! She is eating like a champ and loves her sleep too! We just wish she would love it a little more around 4 a.m. :) We can already tell she's a little more, umm, needy, than Hudson was! Dramatic? I think so!

Ellie's likes: being held, a full tummy, napping, car rides, worship music at church.

Ellie's dislikes: having her diaper changed, stop lights, mommy not coming fast enough, the sermon during church. :)

We think we'll keep her! Who do you think she looks like??!!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

And just so I don't get in trouble...

Apparently going five days with no pictures of Ellie is unacceptable to some people. But I'm not naming any names!

We think Ellie might have a little bit of colic...poor baby! But even so, she is the sweetest little thing! We love her so much! Hudson has been soooo great with her! He hasn't exactly mastered giving her a kiss, he just goes and lays his head next to hers, very sweet. But doesn't his head look gigantic next to hers??!!

If Hudson's life were like a conversation heart, it would be a heart that says "BE MINE!" (Emphasis on the M-I-N-E!) It's his new favorite word!





There is a lot of sharing and taking turns talk going on in our house right now. We totally know that this is part of being almost two (tears), but sweet mercy, I hear the word mine 100 times a day. Does he think I'M going to take his cars??!! But seriously, we do pray with Hudson every night that he will become more like Jesus each day and so right now we are stressing that that means sharing and giving to friends! And this week was the perfect time to practice as we bought bubbles to give to our friends at school for Valentines Day! We're going to need some more practice! :)

Side note: Lyndsey shared with all the moms at the party that these Valentine Krispy Kremes had 23 grams of sugar...what?? Thank goodness Hudson only took a couple of bites! He would rather have a cookie like his momma!!

Super Sunday!

Look who got all dressed up for her first Sunday at church!






It was a pretty super Sunday in the Brewer household today...no, not because of the game, but some super milestones! Ellie went to church for the first time and did great! And Hudson slept in until 8:00 this morning!!! He has been waking up between 6:00 and 6:30 for the last three weeks, so needless to say mommy and daddy were SUPER excited to have a little more time to sleep! Hope he keeps it up!

Ellie is just the sweetest thing! We feel so blessed to now have a son and a daughter! We are adjusting to a new life of four and so far, so good! God is good!
