The stars of the show!

Hudson and Jack will be making their movie debut this weekend at Disciple Now. They made four videos where they go on "Baby Adventures". It's an E-Trade commercial meets superheroes kind of thing. I have not seen the final cuts of all the videos, but they are stinkin' funny!

So, as soon as they are posted on YouTube, I'll (attempt) to put up the link. Meanwhile, let your imagination roam on what Steven and my husband have come up with for our sons to be: Consultants for The Office, Basketball players, Chefs from Iron Chef America, and surgeons. Oh My!

This is what happens when...

Mommy walks away for just a second to get the phone. Lord help me.

11 Months

That's right, we are less than a month away from the big birthday! I cannot believe it! Hudson turned 11 months on Wednesday! This picture is totally random, but I didn't really have anything else. And I knew better than to put out a picture-less post! Anyway, here's a run down on what's going on in Hudson's world:

1. Walking with a push-toy and around the furniture alone. It won't be long.
2. Eating mostly table food! I'm ready to say good-bye to Gerber!
3. Favorite words-mama and dada.
4. But also speaks a little bit of turkey, not turkish, turkey. (Ex: Gobble, gobble)
5. Also loves to scream at the top of his lungs, and then laugh about it. :)
6. He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
7. He dances when he hears music, especially daddy's beats.
8. Third tooth is breaking through on the top. Yuck.
9. He will put whatever he finds on the ground into his mouth. Leftover cheerios, leaves, rocks, etc. Good times.
10. He loves our dog Sydney!
11. He gives great kisses, totally open mouth though, so watch out!!

Hudson is such a joy and we cannot remember what life was like before him. We are so blessed to have such a precious little boy!

Stay tuned, lot's of fun things coming up! Hint: Daddy has put Hudson in the movies!!

The Otter Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree

I recently re-took the personality test that tells you if you are a lion, otter, beaver or retriever. We took this test every summer at Pine Cove before camp started and I was always a retriever, with a little bit of beaver. Well, big surprise, no change in my personality, still a retriever. :) As I was listening to the conference leader share the traits of all the personality types, I thought, "Oh my gosh, my son is an otter!" Descriptions: loud, talkative, likes to be around people, likes attention. My son is an otter. Don't get me wrong, its not a bad thing, I just couldn't for the life of me figure out where he came from. My husband and I have very little otter. Where does Hudson get ALL this personality??!!

You guessed it...from his MIMI!! Mimi came to visit this week, just because. :) We love just because! My mom brings out something in Hudson that Dusty and I just can't. When the two of them get together, its hysterics! She says words like "Pee Pie" and "Bugaboo" and he just dies laughing. It really is funny. She took the test yesterday and she is in fact, an otter!! Thanks for coming to visit Mimi, we love you!!

**I'm going to be practicing my version of "I Love You A Bushel and Peck" and bring out my inner otter!

See ya later!

Even though Hudson has been sick for about a week now, it doesn't slow him down much! He got this cool walker from Aunt Angie and Uncle Adam for Christmas and he is officially walking away with it! I can't really wrap my mind around the idea of him being old enough to walk on his own, so we're not even going to go there. But I have a feeling it won't be long. :(

Again, I would love to show you video footage of all this, but our computer and video camera are incompatible...lovely. So just imagine mommy saying "Go!", his little stumps taking off, laughter, squeals, all the way across the living room!

A couple of new favorite places

Hudson has become a little more adventurous and is exploring all over the house now. He has recently discovered these two places, the dishwasher and the bathtub. They are both right at his level when standing up and for some reason, very interesting! He also really loves the laundry room, but no pictures of that because I'm too busy pulling the mop and broom out of his hands! I've got my hands full people!
