The bib says it all...

Happy Birthday Granny!

We made a very quick trip to Gainesville to help surprise Granny for her birthday! Hudson was really into the party, but he didn't quite understand why everyone was so quiet while we waited for Granny to come through the door! He really doesn't care for silence. (We are still trying to figure out who he gets all his personality from!)

We had lots of fun! We love you Granny!

Hudson's first haircut (A little overdue!)

We went to Lyndsey's barber shop last night for a little trim! And please don't judge me for trying to control him with a blue icee pop, he would NOT be still! But she did manage to get what was quickly becoming a tail in the back all trimmed up! So cute! The not so cute fit he through was after I took the popsicle away...nice.

Thanks Lyndsey!

My BFF Jack

Hudson and Jack are really funny together. They just kind of look at each other like "Why do our moms keep sitting us next to each other?" They will get it one day! We can't wait until they are running around together. Well, maybe we can wait on the running part!

No comments please about how they are the same size. :)

A sad goodbye...

We lost my grandfather (Paw-Paw) last weekend. And even though it was a sad goodbye, we were able to celebrate his 91 years here on earth. The service was really special, as my brother read memories from each of the grandchildren. It was a sweet testimony of how much he loved his family, especially my nannie. His has missed and grieved over her for the last six years and I know there was a sweet reunion that took place last Saturday! I am so proud to be part of the legacy my Paw-Paw has left behind.

This occasion did bring together my entire family on my moms side, which hardly ever happens. Someone is usually missing, and according to my aunt, it's usually my husband!! :) He got a bit of a chewing out for that! You don't mess with Eloise! Anyway, we were able to get some group shots of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As you can see, our family is not done growing yet!!

Bring on 2009!

Hudson has decided that 2009 is going to be his year of becoming a big boy! Mommy and Daddy are not liking it so much! Seriously, just within the last 2-3 weeks, he has changed so much! I tell him everyday to stop growing and stay itty bitty, but he's not listening! Probably because he's screaming too loud or crawling to fast to hear me! Dusty and I continue to be amazed at how he is responding to the world around him and learning new things. God really did create a miracle! I sit back and think, how did he know how to do that?!

Anyway, here are some recent pics of how he's decided to grow up!

1. Pulling up in his crib, screaming until we come get him and then smiling/clapping when we walk in.
2. Sitting in his big boy chairs.
3. Getting his first TWO teeth.

If you can't tell, I love this baby!

I hope that 2009 brings you as much joy as we are expecting!!
