Auntie Lydia comes to town!

Lydia is one of my dearest friends from college and she came to town for a special visit to see Hudson. We had so much fun! We met our friend Becca for lunch on Saturday. We played catch up and talked about old times at camp! Then Lydia and I got pedicures! I wish I would have taken pictures of our pretty toes, but I forgot. We had a fun outside dinner complete with live music and then headed back home to introduce Lydia to Rock Band. Bad idea...she was so much better than me! Just kidding, but she was REALLY good for a rookie. Thanks for coming Lydia, we had a blast! Miss you already!

Side note: Lydia is on my blogroll and I think she got some extra pictures from the weekend, so check out her blog too!

Mimi & Paw-Paw's House

You Know You're in East Texas When...

1. You buy 3 pounds of red potatoes for a dollar from the little old man down the street and then he runs after you to give you a free onion!

2. You stop at the produce stand on the side of the road and the girl working it wants to show you her sonogram picture!

3. You're driving down the road and see a sign that reads "Willie Nelson for President". (No pic cause I was driving!)

4. You wear just a diaper...and its okay!

We Heart Daddy!

Happy Father's Day Dusty! To no surprise, you have been so amazing the last three months. I am so blessed to have such a supportive, hands-on, diaper changing daddy! Thank you for loving Hudson and supporting me. I am so proud of you and appreciate you more than you know! Enjoy your new toy! You'll have a little partner playing with you before you know it!! We love you!

Rock Band!

Our friends Steven and Lyndsey got the game Rock Band and we all had a little jam session last week. I'm pretty terrible, but it's a lot of fun. Look at me get down on the drums!! Hmmm...this gives mommy an idea for Father's Day!! :)

Happy Birthday Kate!

Our little Kate (well, she's not technically ours) turned THREE years old on Monday! I can't believe it! She had just been born when we moved here and we have had the priviledge of watching her grow into the sweetest, smartest, cutest little girl! Steven and Lyndsey are the greatest friends and we are so thankful that they have shared Kate with us! And how fun that our little group is growing...little brother Jack will be here very soon!

We were invitied to celebrate Kate's birthday on Monday night at the Central Market park. I know that may sound strange to our Dallas friends, but the Central Market downtown Austin has the best outdoor eating area and playground...perfect for a party! Kate was quite the birthday girl...very social! Hudson had a great time with his friend! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Family Reunion

THREE NEW POSTS!! Scroll all the way down to see our trip to Gainesville in order. On Sunday we attended the Roberts family reunion. This is Dusty's maternal grandmother's side of the family. Mamaw Conaway is the oldest of nine children, so there are lots of family members that like to get together! All of Dusty's siblings were in town and most of our nieces and nephews, so we got some good family pictures.

Below you will see our fun Saturday afternoon at Tim and Michelle's for a little pool party! They have a beautiful pool and backyard that everyone enjoyed. Although Hudson missed out on swimming because he was tired from graduation. So he took a two and half hour nap in cousin Addison's bed!! But mommy wasn't too sad because he was very happy when he woke up and enjoyed just hanging out by the pool for the rest of the evening. Thanks again Tim and Michelle!
