I've been tagged by Lydia!

Good thing I'm off work today!!

1. Ten years ago: I was just starting my second semester at Texas Tech and meeting my now lifelong friends Lydia, Kim, Aimee. I got involved with Campus Crusade, was hired to work at Pine Cove and experienced major spiritual growth in my walk.

2. Five things to do on my to-do list: 1. Get ready for baby Hudson. 2. Get ready for baby Hudson. 3. Get ready for baby Hudson. 4. Get ready for baby Hudson. 5. Umm, eat ice cream!

3.Snacks I enjoy: ice cream, oreos and milk, fruit, raisins. Hey, I'm pregnant!

4. 3 bad habits: I watch WAY too much TV, Sonic happy hour, I change my hairstyle all the time!

5. If I suddenly became a billionaire: I would help support my brothers church, buy my parents a huge house on Lake Travis for all the fam, and take my husband to all the places he dreams of visiting!

6. Places I've lived:Weatherford, Kaufman, Lubbock, Lewisville, Kaufman again, Austin

7. Jobs I've had: oh my, babysitter, preschool teacher, bank teller, retail, camp counselor, lifeguard, other camp jobs, Child Life Specialist, First grade and kindergarten teacher. I think that's all of them.

8. Things people don't know about me: I don't enjoy chocolate, I used to take baton lessons, and I secretly have a subscription to US Weekly magazine. I know, I'm a heathen pastor's wife. :)

Thanks Lydia, this was fun! I tag Ashley and Mandy!

Nursery Part 2

The nursery is coming along, slowly. We put the bedding on and did some organizing last night. We still have lots to do though. But thanks to Mimi and Aunt Angie for helping! Oh, and to Daddy for putting our new goodies together! Stay tuned for the rest!

Our first baby shower!

Thursday night we were blessed by sweet friends from our church here in Austin. They gave us the sweetest baby shower. We got some really great loot! My mom and sister were able to some down and join in the festivities as well. It was very fun! Thank you Church at Canyon Creek!!

I got a little caught up in chatting with friends and opening gifts that I didn't get very many pictures!

This could be bad...

My mom has always told me that one day I would be paid back for being such a stinker of a child. Could it really already be happening?? My son is causing quite the fuss inside my tummy. First of all, the good report from the last doctor visit about him not being breech anymore, yeah, I'll take that one back. Hudson has managed turn and is back to his comfortable place of laying straight across my stomach. :( I will be getting a sonogram in two weeks for my doctor to check his status. I can't really say I'm surprised this has happend with all the moving and grooving he does in there. The other night Dusty was amazed at how my stomach was moving. He said it looked like a science fiction movie and that he was sure "something" was about to come out of my abdomen. Thanks babe! Hudson's favorite time of day? 2:00 a.m. - 4:00 a.m. Stinker alert!! And to top it all off, one of my students told me this week that my baby was REALLY big! Lovely!

The good news, less than 8 weeks to go and baby showers start tomorrow! Woo!

Hudson update

I've been reprimanded for not blogging enough, so here is a little baby update. I went to the doctor last week and received another good report. Here are the highlights:

1. Hudson is no longer breech! Yay!
2. His heart rate is within normal range for a boy!
3. Mommy's weight is within normal range, but like I'm telling you what it is!
4. He moves A LOT!
5. I have less than 10 weeks! Woo-hoo!

More exciting posts to come, as the nursery is really coming together and I have several showers coming up! No pics this time, sorry mom! Stay tuned!

A Surprise From a Secret Santa!

Dusty received quite a surprise when he returned to work on Wednesday. A very special secret santa had dropped off some major loot! He first opened a gift bag full of baby clothes and a box of diapers! That got a big WHOO-HOO from me! And then he opened the next bag...an X-BOX 360!! And that got a big WHOO-HOO from daddy! We are really still in shock over this! We have no idea who gave these gifts to us, but we feel overwhelmingly blessed! So if our secret santa is reading this, thank you!!! The words don't seem to say it enough how much we appreciate a fun blessing like this! My husband is on cloud nine! And is now officially a video gamer! Just check out that headset! Sexy!
